My next medical coding training course will start on August 8th. This is a 16 week program to prepare you to take the CPC exam from AAPC. My course includes live instruction (there’s one Zoom meeting per week) and this is extremely beneficial to students and what makes my program stand apart from others. Here are 3 reasons I decided to include live instruction in my medical coding program.
Reason #1- Medical coding is hard to learn in the beginning. This is because when you’re in a coding course, you’ll basically get an overview of how to code. You’ll be working with all the different chapters of each of the coding books. This can be very overwhelming if you’re completely new to the field (many of my students are completely new).
Reason #2– During my live meetings, we do medical coding questions together as a group. It allows me to walk you through difficult coding scenarios. As far teaching goes, it let’s me gauge how my students are doing. It helps me know what you understand and what you don’t understand. It also gives you time to ask questions.
Reason #3- You will not feel alone when you’re taking my coding course. I can not even begin to tell you how many people who are not in my coding program, email or message me asking for help because they are lost. They signed up for a course without an instructor and don’t know what to do now. So when I was putting my coding course together, I know that I never wanted my students to feel that way. So the live meetings gives all of us a chance to connect and make sure we are all on the same page.
